Angry Alters: Why It Matters

I recently talked about some important reasons members of your system might be angry with you. You might think “so what?” if they are angry. That’s what I want to talk about today.

Why It Matters

The “so what” is this: their anger at you will prevent you from making progress on your recovery journey. That’s a big “so what!”

Find Out If You Have Any Angry Alters

If you are able to communicate with other members of your system, I encourage you to ask if the questions I asked you in the recent video resonate with anyone inside. Ask if they believe you are guilty of any of these things. If they tell you that they aren’t angry at you or that you haven’t done any of the things discussed, great!

What to Do If You Have Angry Alters

If any system members tell you that they believe you are guilty of one or more of those items, you now know something you didn’t and you have an opportunity to start addressing a problem. By addressing the issue with any affected system members, you are laying the groundwork for improved system communication and cooperation. Improved system communication and cooperation reduces chaos and is fundamental to making progress on your healing journey.
